Apr. 2nd, 2007 08:48 amEver since I got my hair cut and started getting my nails done again, I've been really annoyed with how fast they're both growing. I used to be able to go a month without touching up my nails, and when my hair was long, I was begging it to grow faster, but no...now it's shoulder length already and I'm going to go get it cut again. And redo my nails. Again. "Beauty" is such a racket.
I was reading the label on my vitamin C tablets this morning (the vitamin that I take in addition to the 100% DV that's already in my multi), and it says that vitamin C not only boosts your immune system (why I'm taking it), but also promotes collagen formation which in turn stimulates hair and nail growth. Oh. I started taking this right around the time of my haircut and manicure...aha...
I keep having these weird dreams where UVA kids keep showing up in my office uninvited for their "scheduled" interviews to be my intern, and in the dreams I am completely spineless and don't even challenge them to ask why they think they have an interview. In last night's dream, I ended up "hiring" four people, none of whom got any work done and all of whom annoyed the living piss out of me. It seems that every time something major happens in my life (I guess hiring interns is sorta major cause it's a first for me), I have all these dreams for weeks following the successful completion of the actual event about how it all goes wrong. It's very weird. The funny thing is that I don't ever have dreams about how something could go wrong until that thing has already passed (usually completely uneventfully) in real life. It's like I have late-onset anxiety or something.
Anyway, I have a four day workweek this week, but about 15 days of work to cram into it, so wish me luck and the ability to remain sane.
Oh and today is my younger brother's 36th birthday:) Younger of the two brothers that I have, of course, not younger than I. I'll be 24 on 4/27. I like diamonds.
Peace.

Date: 2007-04-02 03:03 pm (UTC)The team game was better. Again, Ahren and I held up our end, but our teammates were a little shaky at times, with a few boners costing us big IMPs on a few rounds. We won 4/7 matches - after losing two in a row, we switched partners for the final two (Ahren and I had played as partners for the first 5) and pulled ourselves back up to scratching position, for 1.64 on the day in a surprisingly large field. I can only play with newbies for so long before my patience is tested, so I'm glad it was only 2 rounds, but we did alright. I missed Ahren the whole time, though.
