I'm really backed up here at work so I won't have time to update for a while yet, but I do have a few quick things that need mentioning.

Ahren left Gatlinburg on Wednesday, so I had to fill his (rather too large) shoes as head KO caddy for the rest of the week, which meant no more playing for me. Except the midnights. Where I rule. More on that later. According to the MABC website, I picked up 13.79 points this week, even though I played very little. Far short of what I'd hoped to earn, but far higher than I could hope for given that I didn't really get to play this year.

So without Ahren, I did all the driving (I never do ANY of the driving) - in the fucking snow. It snowed in fucking Tennessee and Virginia in mid-April, and I had to drive seven hours in the shit. But it wasn't seven hours, because I did 90mph for a good bit of it (don't tell anyone - I was anxious to get home and forgot Ahren's car had cruise control. For the record, I didn't mean to be going faster than 75). Anyway, when I got home, I was excited to see my bridge partner, but he was less excited to see me - Sleeping Beauty was conked out and I couldn't get a rise out of him when I got home. Was properly greeted in the morning, though.

Speaking of the morning, do you know what the worst feeling in the whole world is? Do you think you know it? Now tell me if it's worse than this: working harder than you've ever worked for 7 days straight, getting totally jacked on the pay (I was POSITIVE, even with my low expectations, that I'd get at least 300 more than I got. I figured that was the lowest of lowballing. Needless to say I have officially retired from GB caddying.), having to drive home seven(ish) hours in the snow, getting home and still not getting any sleep (eight nights in a row now!), then getting up for work only to realize that we have no power and I can't take a shower. !!!!!!!!!

Okay, so it's not really the worst feeling ever, but let's just say I'm feeling, oh, DISGUSTING.

I did have a good week. I'm just not a happy camper right now. I spent all of my free time (as if there was any, really) solidifying my friendship with

mczen, and now I'm bumming hard that I don't get to see him today, or tomorrow, or the next day, or the next several days, for that matter. Like I said, I had an awesome time, but I also did a lot of crying on his shoulder (it was an emotional week - more later), and it's amazing how some people absolutely defy all expectations. And despite all my bitching, and the fact that I've sworn to never come back as an employee, I'm really, really sad that the week is over.
