Apr. 23rd, 2007 09:01 amI got all these new CD's last week, but I've only listened to one of them so far, because I'm so in love with this Slaid Cleaves album that I can't take it out of the player to try one of the other discs. I guess that's not a bad problem to have:)
A bad problem, though - the foot that I injured two years ago is acting up again. I ran yesterday and it's been kind of sensitive since then. Maybe I should get it looked at again, now that I'm insured.
I still don't have internet at home, either. My modem is broken, so Comcast is bringing me a new one, but not until Wednesday. Annoying. I get seven bucks off my bill this month though. Woo.
My workout yesterday was really good. I hadn't been to the gym since Monday, because I've been so tired all week and I've just been coming home and going straight to bed, but I forced myself into my spandex yesterday and actually had a lovely workout. Emily joined Gold's, and she was there, which was an inspiration of sorts, even though she was in RPM class and not actually working out with me. But for some reason, just knowing she was in there made me work a little harder. My lifting wasn't as spectacular as I'd hoped - I've had too much time off, and my muscles were fatigued - but I powered through it and did a full rotation even though it sucked. I really didn't feel like running, or even biking or any sort of cardio, but I talked myself into a treadmill, and I ran really hard. I surprised myself. I ran for the first 11 minutes, then walked 4, ran 5, walked 4, and ran the last 6. I did a total of close to 3 miles in 30 minutes, then I did 10 minutes of cooldown very light walking while I waited for Em to come out of class.
I felt as fatigued as one might expect, and passed out for most of the afternoon. (There may have been other factors contributing to this afternoon nap, but I plead the fifth.)
And now I'm at work. I believe that catches me up....
Peace.
