Woke up too early
Apr. 28th, 2007 06:16 am1. What is your all time favorite book?
Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady by Florence King. Austen's Pride and Prejudice is a very close second.
2. What is your all time favorite movie?
Steel Magnolias. I first watched this with my grandmother when I was 5, and I cried so hard that I swore I'd never watch it again, but I watched it the very next day, and the next, and the next...I still cry every time, but I freaking love this movie.
3. What are you reading right now?
Between books - most recently finished The Nanny Diaries and am considering re-reading the HP series before book 7 comes out. I did just start Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them.
4. What is your favorite show on tv?
I don't have a TV anymore, but I do love Scrubs, The Daily Show, The Soup, and Best Week Ever, though I never see them.
5. What is the last movie you saw in the theater?
Pretty sure it was Little Miss Sunshine. That movie rocks my world.
So I've been awake for what I estimate is about an hour. I was thinking it was close to time for me to get up anyway, so even though I did try to fall asleep again, I wasn't too distraught when I couldn't do it. But then after 40 minutes or so of lying in bed trying to at least daydream to pass the time, I got up to use the loo and the clock said 6:09. I'm not tired now, but I'm going to pay for this early rising later.
I'm not entirely sure what's on today's agenda, but I'm going to my parents' house for breakfast with the whole family, including Emily Gercke, Ahren, and Slim. Adrian's going to Foxfield today and Emily's headed off to William and Mary for an Accidentals performance (they're singing for the Queen of England next week!), but the rest of us are going to spend the day in Nelson. The forecast is kind of shitty - cloudy and cool with a chance of rain - but we're going to go hiking at Crabtree Falls and picnicking on the farm if the weather holds. I'm sure we'll also do some visiting - Maria and Virginia Page, the family graveyard, all that good stuff. And we'll probably stop at Colleen. I need to get one of their t-shirts. (Colleen is a tiny town in Nelson County, but also an Ice Cream stop on the high way. My parents joke that their car is programmed to stop there whether they want to or not.)
I'm starting to get sleepy again. Maybe I can squeeze in an hour before I have to wake up.
Peace.
