I worked out with my new trainer last night. He's Graydon, he's from New York, he's totally cool. I was worried about the adjustment, being shy, awkward, that sort of thing, but I really had no need to fret about these things. What I should've been more concerned about was how hard he was going to work me. Lordy.

He does things differently than Jen, but he has a similar technique, in that he focuses on posture and the core and all that fun stuff. He went easy on me on some things, but other things were more challenging than anything Jen ever gave me, and he really showed no mercy. But it was good. He wasn't mean about it, and I definitely got a killer workout. He's going to be a good fit for me, I think.

"You know what happens whenever I lose weight?"
"Your boobs get smaller?"
"Yes!"
"Not on my watch."

Awesome.

I'm very sore today. Especially in the boobular area. It's all good, though - Roope is coming by this evening to give me a massage, so I'll be fine...I don't think he'll be doing a boob massage though.

So after the gym, Danny brought his two rats and a hamster over to my place so I can babysit them while he's turning Japanese. I played with the rats some, but my hands broke out into hives shortly thereafter, so I'm going to have to adopt a strict no-touching policy. They're cute, though, and having them in my house isn't really a problem. It's just the touching thing. So I won't touch them. I took some strong medicine last night and was able to go to sleep, and when I woke up the hives were gone, so it's all good. Hopefully they don't come back.

Anyway I've got a lot of shit that I've been procrastinating, so I should probably get on it.

If you wanna play with them, you could probably find latex medical examination gloves. We use them here everytime we touch anything non-human. Even if we don't start OUT with rodent allergies, we usually end up with them, but the gloves definitely slow the process.

Thanks for the advice. I thought about that, but considering how minimal my contact was (like, 30 seconds, maybe?) and how fast the hives escalated, I'm really not willing to risk it.

Haha, no, just working out in general - they're always the first place I lose weight.

holy shit, yea i wouldn't take them out of the cage if it makes you break out. if you want to interact with them, i'd just stick your fingers through the bars to pet them and then wash your hands afterward. they especially like to be pet on the head and behind the ears. they may even try to groom you out of affection.

is babies using the exercise wheel?

I actually had a pretty violent reaction when I held them, so I haven't been taking them out. McKenzie and Ahren have been over and have given them the affection that I can't, though, and I try to talk nice to them...I wish I could play with them more. I watch them a lot. Do the rats fight a lot when they're around you?

yea, don't hold them. if i don't want to hold them i just stick my fingers through the bars and pet them with my fingers. you should do that if it doesn't give you a reaction.

yea, they fight when i'm around. it's mostly babies trying to mount precious because she's bored. babies just wants to play.

Yeah she uses it sometimes. Precious is a little scared of me, I think, but Babies is all kinds of outgoing. Hamstertron is pretty much hiding from me all the time, except when I bring treats. They're doing alright though.
