It sucks not to have enough time in the day to even pound out a good blog here and there. I miss writing my own boring life story.

I'm busy. But I'm giving myself a break for the next ten minutes. If I don't, I will most likely crack. Right open here on my keyboard.

Things are going well, just busy. Okay, that's kind of a lie. Things are going okay. Some areas are fucking wonderful. Others are a bit on the miserable side. Too bad averages don't work out such that I just feel content all the time. Oh well. I'm working on that.

mczen and I had a killer game last night at the bridge club. 10.5 tables turned up for the North American Pairs qualifier, and we took first with a 74% game. (That's, um, pretty decent, for those of you unfamiliar with bridge scoring.)

McKenzie is leaving next week to go play in the nationals, but if we can get 11+ points for him this week, he'll get his Gold Life Master with me. That would be awesome. We picked up 3.5 for last night's effort (we need 11 on top of that), and he's playing on BBO tonight, then in a club on Thursday, and this weekend we've got a sectional. We basically need to have a really stellar weekend to make it, but it's certainly possible, and we can whittle away at the number with some BBO games throughout the week...he's playing with Gail in one session of pairs, then me, then we're teaming with Ahren and Gail for the Swiss. If he can get a first overall with me or Gail, that'd probably put it within reach. Not sure what we can expect for a team victory on Sunday. We'll be far from the strongest team there (1 A player + 3 C's is not generally a formula for a good day of team competition), but if we all bring our A game and get a few lucky breaks, it's certainly possible that we could be in the top 5. First is my goal, but that may not be realistic. We'll see:)

Well, my ten minute break is over...time to get back to work and stop fantasizing about cards. I'm such a nerd:-P
