Unable to concentrate...
Jul. 24th, 2007 09:07 amI'm on page 500 in my Barry Snotter book. I'm anxious to finish and find out how the story ends, but I also know I'll be very, very sad when it's over. The book is sitting on my desk, calling out to me. But I have work to do.
I leave tomorrow for Falcon Ridge, by way of a Slaid Cleaves show in Philly tomorrow night. Then I'm visiting someone in the area briefly before hitting the road for Hillsdale, hopefully arriving earlyish on Thursday.
I have packed nothing. I have purchased nothing in preparation, except a bottle of sour mix to make my new favorite drink, the whiskey sour. I have no time to do any of this. I'm sort of freaking out about this.
And I always freak out when I'm going to be away from my office for more than a day. I'm a control freak, and I don't like the idea that my daily tasks will be done by someone less familiar with them than I, and I shudder to think how many things will pile up for me to do when I return. Vacationing is always so stressful!
And all I want to do right now is read this book!

Peace.
