It seems that song lyric is sort of a recurring theme in my life. I live well, but dammit, I get really disgruntled sometimes over all the things I don't get to do. Just going through sort of a funk over that right now. I'm missing a lot on the bridge front this year, no Edhead Cruise (and it's probably the last one, so I'll never get to experience that), I haven't been able to join my family for our annual beach vacations since high school, and my friends seem to have been doing quite a bit of traveling this summer, and I'm feeling kind of bummed that I don't get to go to Europe or more festivals or weddings in the Caribbean or whatever else. So pardon my little woe is me moment, please. It's just one of those days.

The A/C is still broken in the house, and the window unit has yet to be installed - we poked around the window a few times and it seems that it may be impossible, which is really disheartening. It's been over 90 degrees in my apartment, even with fans running, for the last month now. I do not do well in heat. I get lethargic and whiny. So in addition to being miserable myself, everyone around me gets an extra dose of misery, too. Yay. High today of 98. FABULOUS.

I think I'll go swimming after work, if there aren't too many neighborhood munchkins in the pool. I figure it should be pretty much cleared out by the time I get home anyway, so it'll be okay. Then I think I'll take my laptop over to the clubhouse and play on BBO from an air conditioned building for a few hours. Why didn't I think of that last night? Because the heat sucked my brains out, apparently.

mczen, it is your job to remember these plans this evening.

My butt is sore. Yesterday was T&A day at the gym - all butt and chest exercises. My trainer can be weird sometimes. But I enjoy him. Anyway...work beckons.
