I took a nap today, and it was glorious
Nov. 12th, 2007 05:59 pmBecause I haven't had enough bridge this week, Z and I are about to take off for the club game in Waynesboro tonight. And I'm not going to worry about how late it'll keep me up, because I don't have to wake up early tomorrow. This is a first for me.
Every time I've ever quit a job in the past, I've had another already lined up, and I have taken exactly zero days off between jobs since I was 18. Aside from vacation and sick days and holidays, I have gone to work every weekday of my adult life. I will still work. I still write for AOL and that money will support me for now. If it turns out that it's not enough, I'll find some other way to get by, but I think I may be done with offices. I am a good employee, and I can really thrive in an office, but I've found that it's only a matter of time before the bullshit starts. And I don't need that.
It's nice to be happy again.
Peace.
