Loving Oregon, hating my internet options.  Where I am able to get online, the connection is not good.

I'm frustrated at how little work I've been able to do here. 

I am getting some good reading done.  I picked up a couple of really interesting books about women on the Oregon Trail back in the 1850's.  One book is a collection of diaries, and the other is a history of women on the trail including diaries, song lyrics, and the like.  It's really fascinating.  I wonder if the women 100 years from now will look back on us and pity us for how hard we've got it.  I suspect probably...surely there are great strides to be made in menstrual issues, if nothing else. 

McKenzie is shaving his beard as I type.  I've never seen him bald-faced.  I tend to prefer facial fuzziness, but we'll see how this looks. 

I'm going to cross another state off my never visited list tonight.  We're heading to Washington for some bridge and company.  It's only five miles away from where we are now anyway.  I'd like to get to Canada soon, but that will probably have to wait for another trip west.
