I finally have a new post up at WOW.

We're playing in the Salem sectional this weekend.  Yesterday could've gone better, but we have another shot at glory today.

12 more days in Oregon and then we're off to Bermuda.  My plane ticket cost $420 for a trip from Portland to Atlanta to Bermuda, then returning from Bermuda to Boston then DC.  Pretty incredible, right?  Even more incredible when a search for any one of those legs turned up a ticket price of at least $500.  So next time you're flying, consider going through Bermuda, or at least buying the ticket that way...heh.  Anyone know why the eff it's "cheaper" to travel this way than a quick one-way flight?  It's some sort of racket, no doubt.  Ah well.  At least I didn't really get ripped off.

Peace.

I thought one-way flights were always more expensive than connectors? But I could be wrong. I agree that it's counter-intuitive.

*obviously*

The risks of flying in vicinity of the Bermuda triangle have forced prices down. Also Boston and Atlanta are hubs, depending on the airline. Mostly it's about the sea-monsters, though.

it's all about the hubs, especially atlanta. that is a pretty damn good deal, though. not sure how they let you get away with bermuda, that is very strange.
