Introducing Frankie
Apr. 3rd, 2008 07:10 amMy niece, Francesca "Frankie" Leslie Massie, was born on 4/2/08 at 3:18pm. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and was totally healthy and even totallyer cute. Well, for a newborn, which pretty much all look the same, she's on the cute end of the spectrum. We got to the hospital when she was about 5 hours old, but visiting hours were over, so we only got to see her through the nursery window. The nurses wheeled her up and she really hammed it up for the camera. Lucy was pleased. We're going back shortly so we can visit more with William and Rachel, and get some cuddles in with the baby. Here are some pictures from Frankie's first day:

"Hi. I'm a baby."
"Here's my tongue."

A reaction shot from Big Sister. She thinks it's cool having a baby sister. Good deal.
Funny side story about Lucy: In the car on the way, we were reading her books, only she won't be read to, she has to read them herself. But she's not exactly reading yet, so she just looks at the pictures then makes stuff up. One page had a picture of angry-looking bears, so she said:
"I'm going to eat you all up! Then you'll be stuck in my tummy and I'll never poop you out! Heavens to Betsy!"
Peace.
