jianantonicWe're home. For now. We took 81 back from Brooklyn so we could stop in Harrisonburg for the Steep Canyon Rangers show. My parents went on from there and Emily came to meet us at the concert and drive us home (except McKenzie drove, because McKenzie always drives). The music was fantastic, but the show as a whole could've been a lot better. It was just a really disrespectful audience, and you could sorta tell that the band wasn't having a good time at this one.
On the flip side, it was a great show for the three of us. The band recognized us and talked with us for a while before the show. We sat up front and they pretty much played just for us the whole time, which was great. But for their sake, I wish they'd had more of their own fans there, instead of just barhoppers. The night just reinforced my hatred for Harrisonburg and its people. (There are exceptions, of course!)
I have some catching up to do with my work, so hopefully I'll get some writing done today, though I'm really not in the mood at the moment. I didn't get much chance to really relax all week, and I'd sorta like to do that today. But I've got shit to do. Like my taxes. Like FINDING my tax forms. I put them in a safe place when they got mailed here, but of course I've forgotten wtf that safe place was. I'll find them...it's not a big apartment. Still, stress...argh.
I had sort of stressful dreams last night, too, which is annoying. Sleep is supposed to be the time to get away from all that. Sigh. I think I'm going to have to give myself a day of rest before I delve into all that needs to be done.
