McKenzie caught his hair on fire tonight.  We figured a good way to get over the trauma of it would be to get drunk and watch The Terminal. 

Have you ever seen someone's hair burn?  It makes a weird noise and stinks up a whole apartment.  Oh and it makes me scream like a sissy because it's quite traumatic.  He didn't feel anything and put it out before it was a big problem, but it singed a pretty big chunk out of his hair.  I think we're going to switch shampoo brands.  The one we use now is too flammable, apparently.

Ha! :-P Wouldn't that be hairspray rather than shampoo? The custom with shampoo is to rinse it out when one is finished...

We've been burning votives instead of using the lights ever since Earth Hour, and he just came a little too close to one of them.

Eh, he has a LOT of hair, so it's actually not noticeable unless you look for it. There was a brown, singed patch, but it came right off. Now there's just one little section that's shorter than the rest, but you can't tell really.

when i visited ben in cali last fall, he was going through a phase where he kept setting his leg hair on fire. it was stinky, so i made him stop for the duration of my stay.

but to replace the hair he had burned off, i bought him a merkin in japan. well, it was supposed to be chest hair, but you can't sell it as a merkin in the 100 yen shop. yknow, coz of the kiddies.
