Well, it could have been worse.  Of course, as soon as they told me not to move, everything started to itch, and I had to fart a lot.  But I managed to stay still and not fart (much).  I actually got pretty relaxed, if not comfortable.

I'd read the information about MRIs on the website before I went in, and they'd said "You might hear a knocking sound.  That's normal."  MIGHT?!  The entire hour that I was in there was the loudest noise I'd ever heard.  The closest thing I can compare it to would be having fighter jets flying three inches overhead while firing missiles in a constant stream.

Anyway it was louder than I expected, but also shorter than I'd thought it would be, and not nearly as uncomfortable.  I was glad when it was over, but it could have been a lot worse.  I'll get the results on Friday.  Updates to follow.

Peace.

They didn't give you headphones with groovy music to listen to? Or even earplugs? That's what the MRI team at a few centers where I've worked always to for people. I can only imagine how loud it is in there; I've heard it from the outside and the sound is truly deafening. -Jill

They did, but it was too loud for those headphones to compete with...
