A change of tone...
Jun. 13th, 2008 05:58 pmToo much negativity in my day so far. Time for fun. How 'bout a lyrics meme? Yayfun.
Put your favorite music player on shuffle. List the first lines/couplets of the first 50 songs, no matter how lame. (i am skipping spoken word, though)
Ask friends to identify the songs in comments. Bonus points given for identification of the correct artist on multiple-covers songs. Madcap fun ensues.
Comments are screened so everyone has a fair shot at guessing all the tracks, and NO GOOGLING!
These are admittedly very hard. I have a strange, eclectic collection of music, and some of these are really off the wall. Feel free to send your music-loving friends by this post to take a crack at this list:) It's strange how some artists kept coming up on the shuffle and some didn't come up at all, even when I have hundreds of their songs. Anyway, good luck -- I'll be surprised if anyone can identify more than 5 or 6 different artists represented here.
Answers...eventually.
Peace.
