After very nearly filling up a large suitcase in addition to my two carry-ons, I called McKenzie for permission not to bring his laptop.  Once granted, I was able to scrap one carry-on and downsize my wardrobe selections so that I have all my things for two weeks in two small carry-on bags.  Since I'm switching airlines on my trip to Medford, and I don't have much of a layover anywhere, having all my bags under my own control will be much less stressful, not to mention the money I'll save, since both airlines would charge me for checked luggage.  Now I'm really sweating that I've left out something important, but I think that's just general anxiety.  I've got all the clothes, toiletries, computer cables, and identification  that I'll need, so it's all good.  Sorta heavy and a pain to carry, but easier than stressing over checked bags.

That last plane is teeny tiny.  Should be fun.

I've also successfully uploaded about 50 CDs to my computer.  I still haven't updated my iPod since 2006, because I haven't bothered to figure out how to sync it up to my current computer without losing what's on it from the previous machine.  I know there are easy ways to do this, I've just been lazy about it.  So anyway I only had a handful of new music on my computer until today, when I uploaded all the new CDs I've bought since early 2006.  I didn't get all of them, but I do think I got most of them.  Yay:)  The next step is to get all of this stuff of my iPod.  I'll think about doing that next week, perhaps.

Right now, it's time to pack the laptop away and get going.

Peace.

Yay for carryons! Now you understand why my dad was such a hardass about it for DI. (Well, you probably understood that before, but still.) Tiny planes are awesome. I took one from JFK to Reagan (I think it might have been a commuter flight) when I came back from Morocco.
