Jun. 20th, 2008 05:05 pmAfter overcoming a monumental case of procrastination, I wrote enough to make a respectable-but-not-stellar $70 this morning. I have made enough in the time that I've been out here to cover the cost of being here, so that's good. Of course McKenzie can make more in one day than I can in a week, but that's why I agreed to joint checking. Kidding! Seriously, though, I am proud of myself for keeping up with my work so well while I've been here. Until writer's block hit me like a ton of bricks this morning, I was cruising all week long, which is rare for when I'm not at home. This is good.
Still, I hope the writer's block goes away by tomorrow. (Notice that writer's block never strikes my personal blog. I can babble on for pages no matter how boring the topic, as long as I'm not getting paid for it.)
We've got our return tickets to DC, flying on US Air this time. I think that's the only major airline in the US that I haven't flown this year. Maybe I haven't been on Continental, either. I can't remember -- they all run together. Anyway, we're going back to DC and probably not going home until after the Reston regional, which means I should probably go back to Goodwill and get some more clothes -- all I packed were workout tank tops and a pair of pants that are now too big. We could go home the day we fly back, but it seems like more hassle than it's worth, since we'd just be coming back to the area the very next day. Plus there's the whole environmental impact of extra travel to consider. (I really wish there was an earth-friendly way to get from VA to OR. I have major guilt issues about all the flying I've done this year.) We'll see. As usual, none of our plans are really final.
Peace.
