This will take some getting used to
Jun. 24th, 2008 02:57 pmI just got in from a preliminary bike ride. I went to Sears to pick up a pair of shorts for the ride this afternoon, and to Circuit City to get an arm strap for my iPod. The ride out was fine, though I was surprised that I was a bit winded by the time I got to Sears -- I'd estimate about a 1.5 mile ride. On the ride back, my right knee was feeling a little funny, so I tried to take it easy. This little bit of biking was much more work than my quads have done in a long time, and it was painfully clear how much I'd been neglecting them. I'm going to do my 2+ mile walk now to get lunch, and I'll reevaluate the situation when I get back and rest a little. If my knee is still feeling iffy, the ride to Ashland will probably have to wait, but I can always start riding and then have McKenzie come get me if I need to stop somewhere. So I should try, anyway.
Anyway, lunch beckons.
Peace.
