See? I didn't make it up. I saved the bracket sheet, and I do in fact plan to frame it and hang it in my house because I AM a huge dork, thankyouverymuch! Despite skipping nine sessions of this tournament, I still finished with 38.4 points, good enough for 4th on the 0-1500 list, less than 2 points out of first, claimed by my friend Mike (who, to his credit, played even fewer sessions than I did).

Z and I are finally home together and have a lot to do in the week that we'll be here before taking off again. Our next trip is just two weeks; to Vegas and Falcon Ridge (omg yay!), but then we're home again for just another short stay before a tournament in Baltimore and another in Pittsburgh. Not sure yet if we'll be playing full weeks at either of those. I guess it depends mostly on money.

While we're here this week, we will be cleaning the place thoroughly, buying a new coffee table (to replace the card table that doesn't fit in so well with an otherwise nice living room set), and taking a lot of things to Goodwill. And I'll be getting back to writing. I took last week almost entirely off, which I needed to do, but it doesn't bode well for the bank account, so I need to pound out some good stuff while I'm home so I can afford to enjoy my upcoming vacation.

I suppose it also wouldn't hurt to catch up on sleep. But it's hard to sleep, given that my mind hasn't stopped racing with thoughts of our big win. I keep going back to the results website to make sure it really happened. I feel great. I still have my share of shit, but these days I'm just reveling in the amazing path I'm walking. The opportunities, the adventures, the successes -- I am a lucky girl. And a thankful one.
