Jul. 24th, 2008 09:32 amI did not sleep well on the plane from Vegas to JFK, but I did manage to sleep for about two hours at the gate here. We have a 4 hour layover, with one hour to go now. It's stormy on the east coast, but our flight is still on time, according to the ticker. It's just a 45-minute hop to Hartford from here, then we collect our car and drive an hour to Dodds Farm. I'm getting really antsy!
I hope it hasn't been too rainy to let us in with our car, but I recognize that there's a possibility we'll be hauling all of our shit from the lower parking up the hill to our campsite. Oh well! Seriously, after a week of relentless 110 degree heat, I'm not going to be terribly bothered by the rain. Hopefully I'll be able to maintain this perspective, because the forecast doesn't look friendly...
*Yawn*
See y'all on Monday.
Peace.

Date: 2008-07-24 04:39 pm (UTC)Well, it's really wet, has been raining pretty continuously for many hrs and just starting to clear but that may not last long. Weather forecast F/S is better. But for now be prepared, mud boots of some kind to keep your feet dry and rain ponchos advised. Also be prepared to leave your vehicle for the time being in one of our overflow day parking lots, that's what is happening now. Many campers got in yesterday before the roads to the campgrounds became too muddy. We are in a holding pattern on vehicle entry to campgrounds. Many ppl are walking in to set up. There is ample overflow parking for others who are waiting, all stages are getting ready to go, almost all vendors are in and set and we are all coping. More later, Anne
