Getting off my ass

I sent out some feelers about new blog jobs today.  So far I'm staying within the AOL network, which I know might not work out because of the company-wide budget cuts, but I would like to stick with what I know, for now.

Z's task today is to get a site started for our bridge project, and then I'll have some musings to post on there, too.

Now it's time to get up and go do some work for WOW, the job that hasn't screwed me over yet.

Well, before you post it on your bridge project site:

Rules are different for different people. Some people insist that the contact cannot be diamonds nor can it be NT in order to score the beer. I think the original rule is actually that it can be any contract. In the junior world though, we decided that diamonds as trump is too likely, so the house rule that the contract cannot be diamonds was widely adopted.

In Sweden, the beer card is the 8 of clubs, not the 7 of diamonds.
