Aug. 5th, 2008 05:01 pmAdrian and I now have a standing daily date for the gym. He took a one-month trial membership at Gold's, and we worked out sort of together today. We did our own things, but used cardio machines side by side, which was nice, because I get bored really easily doing cardio. But keeping up with Adrian gave me something to focus on to pass the time. He spent a lot of time with the membership people, so I ended up doing 20 extra minutes of cardio while I waited for him to finish his workout, since I'd had a head start.
I did a full leg circuit and then 30 minutes on an elliptical and 20 minutes on a treadmill, walking briskly with a steep incline, and then some running. I feel really, really good.
Yesterday I went for a bike ride with Emily at Riverview. I'm still doing my daily weightlifting at home, which is just arm stuff, but I feel pretty fit, and I'm glad I have people working with me to keep it up. It's rough when I go on the road and sit at a bridge table all day, because it feels like I lose a lot of my progress, but it's better to take two steps forward and one step back than no forward steps at all.
Trivia tonight. Text me if you want to join our team.
Peace.
