It would be nice if my husband and I could get back on the same schedule.  At night, he spends the first two hours that I'm asleep reading or trying fruitlessly to fall asleep, and then I spend the first two hours of every morning farting around online waiting for him to wake up.  I could get up and get started with work and such, but I need some time to warm up to it, and having Z there with me the past week doing DoubleSqueeze work while I write for my various projects is actually really helpful.  I stay much more focussed on writing when he's there doing the same.

Anyway I'll get up soon and go to the clubhouse earlyish today, because I'll be leaving before noon for bridge.  Matt E. finally made a bridge date with me, so he's going to play his first ever game of duplicate today, if his 11-12 meeting at UVA doesn't run over.  If it does, I'll just play with Z and catch him some other time, but I am really looking forward to playing with Matt.  He's really enthusiastic about the game, and will be going to med school at UVA, so it's possible we could get him in on the Cville scene.  It would be great to get some more youth in our area.

After bridge, I'm picking up Adrian and heading back to Gold's.  I'm a little sore from yesterday, but I'll just power through.  I need to do upper body and more butt stuff.  Graydon says that chicks who want to lose weight should do as much glute training as possible, because your ass is a muscle that will respond quickly and seriously to training, and will kick start the rest of your body in the right direction.  It's just that I really really hate squats.  Oh well.  Maybe I'll ask a trainer for some good ideas and see if anything exists for the bum besides the leg press and squats.

I imagine I'll get home around 6pm and be totally ready to crash.  Unless maybe I hang out at A's for a while and play Guitar Hero.  I enjoy hanging out with my brother, and now that he's not at the restaurant, he's a lot more available.  Anyway it should be a busy, fun, and exhausting day.

Peace.

Good for glutes:
Squats (sorry)
leg press
Running uphill or stairclimbing
leg lifts help a little
butt lifts - lay on your back, feet on the floor or on a balance ball and simply lift your butt up.

I'd forgotten about the butt lifts -- thanks for reminding me. I do leg press whenever I go to the gym, and I always do an uphill walk on the treadmill as a cooldown. I should step it up a little. I hate the stairstepper...but if it was easy, everyone would have a great body.
