So we came home yesterday because there were a bunch of reasons staying in Baltimore was stressing me out.
1. I've been so good lately with working out and watching what I eat, and it's really hard to do that on the road, so I wanted to come home where I can really be in control of these things.
2. We didn't have KO teammates and I didn't really want to play pairs.
3. Since neither of us have done a lot of for-pay work this month, we wanted to come home and try to do some of that.
4. Speaking of for-pay work, I get to start with Gadling today! Hopefully also WalletPop and Luxist, but that depends on some paperwork, which would have cost me $40 to fax. WTF, Kinkos? Even Massanutten, where EVERYTHING is overpriced, only charges 10 cents per page. Kinkos wanted almost TWO BUCKS per page. Grr. So today I have to find someone with a fax machine. Maybe I can go to a hotel and see if they'll let me use theirs. But I'm hoping our HOA office will take pity on me so I don't have to go too far.
Y'all have been SO HELPFUL with my blogging career so far, giving me topic ideas for AisleDash and letting me use your photos and experiences for Perpetual Tourist -- so I'll tell you what my three new blogs are all about and hopefully you'll keep the encouragement coming.
Gadling is a travel blog. I'll be writing similar posts to what I do for PT, but shorter. Nothing about airlines or the airline industry. There's too much of that already. Things like top ten lists, best detours, travel gear, and of course places to go and things to do.
WalletPop is a blog that's all about saving money and spending wisely. There's also money news, but it's not like BloggingStocks. It's not investing advice so much as just money tips.
Luxist is pretty much the opposite of WalletPop. It's all about luxury goods and living the high life. This one's going to be a challenge for me, because what do I know about luxury goods? Well, I figure when I can't come up with anything, I can always fall back on my jewelry knowledge. Hopefully I'll be starting with these soon.
So that's what's new with me. Also, do any of the Cville locals here ride bikes? I'm looking for a buddy to go biking (only casually, not hardcore) over at the Riverview trail that runs through Pantops. It's where I've been going with Emily, but she left for Indiana yesterday:(
Peace.
