Productivity
Sep. 2nd, 2008 12:07 pmI'm still not feeling 100%, but I'm getting better. Enough so that I can actually get up and move around, which is, unfortunately, a big step forward compared to how I've felt for the last week. I haven't had a serious workout in over a week and I'm really unhappy about that, but today will not be the day that I get back to the gym. I still feel like shit, really, but at least I'm able to function. I only have one more day of antibiotics, so in theory, I should be all better soon. We'll see.
Anyway I have been feeling super productive today. Already I've done a load of laundry (the first of many for today), cleaned the bathroom (okay, not even close to done with that, but it was a start), did a load of dishes, swept the kitchen floor, took out the trash, and wrote two new blog posts for AOL. Here's my to-do list for the rest of the day:
Prepare and eat lunch
Send Z to the bank while I stay home and organize our DVDs (I have a horrible habit of not putting them back in their cases, or putting them in whatever case is there, and now I can't find half of them, so I'm going to go through everything)
More laundry and folding
Finish cleaning the bathroom
Go for a walk for at least some moderate exercise
It doesn't seem like a lot of stuff when I write it out like that, but I know the DVD thing is going to be boring and take forever. Z downloaded a bunch of Rick Emerson podcasts for me to listen to while I do it, though, and if he doesn't take too long in town, he'll be able to help with some of this.
Tangent: Rick Emerson is a radio talk show host in Portland. The Rick Emerson Show is on every day from 11-3PDT, and he's fabulous. The show is pretty Portland-specific, so it's not nationally syndicated, but it's a really entertaining show, even for someone who doesn't know a whole lot about Portland. It does make me a little homesick for the place, though. Anyway he's a lot of fun and it's a nice way to pass the time. I recommend the show to anyone.
Peace.
