Sep. 9th, 2008 07:00 amI had two very weird/disturbing but not awful dreams last night.
The first one was that Emily Gercke, my best friend since forever, had a baby and moved to Philadelphia. There was no guy (though in real life she's been with the same guy for five years, as of TODAY, actually), just her and a baby. My mom and her mom were there helping, and I came up the day after the kid was born to assume my position as favorite (and only, since Emily has no siblings and apparently no babydaddy) aunt. The baby looked exactly like Emily's baby pictures, and I loved it so much that I cried every time I held it. There was no name mentioned in the dream, and the only dialogue that I remember was talking about what it did to her vag during birth. Also, I was a little bit disappointed to learn that Emily was one of those moms, who's way too nervous about dangers and germs that our moms didn't even know existed to protect us from. Emily would SO not be that way if she had actual children. I was also upset that she moved to Philadelphia, though I guess it's closer than Indiana, where she recently moved to start grad school. I miss her:(
In the second dream, I was Harry Potter, or one of his friends or something. The whole school was away at some place, and when I went outside for some fresh air, Dean Thomas was out there, but he'd turned into a zombie and was trying to kill me. Because he was a zombie, none of the spells I knew worked, and we were locked in a fruitless battle. Eventually more students joined me in fighting him off, but some of them became zombies, too, and it looked like an epic battle was unfolding. But then I woke up.
Z is FedExing again today, so I'm on my own for my trip to the Valley. I think I'll get some work done in the morning, then maybe work out, have lunch, shower, and head over there. I'm meeting up with one of my old BC professors, but he's got stuff until 3, so I don't need to leave early or anything. Since that's the case, I think I'll try to go back to sleep for a bit.
We leave for Oregon a week from today! :)
Peace.
