I woke up at 5am this morning, and probably could've gone back to sleep for a while, but I thought, fuck it, I have shit to do.  I wrote a Perpetual Tourist post on the Trailing of the Sheep Festival in Idaho this morning, and I'm working on something for WalletPop now, then I'll see how much more I can get done before it's time to get up and get moving.  I'm going to a Weight Watchers meeting at 9:15, hoping that the last two days of traveling (read:  sitting on my ass all day and eating food that's not the best) won't be a huge setback for me...I did stick within my points every day this week, even on days when I didn't exercise, but I still feel guilty each day that I miss the gym.

I got my hair cut yesterday.  It's now the shortest it's ever been, with a little bit of length in the front.  I'm trying to grow out these damn bangs, so we'll see how that goes.  I liked the look well enough, but they're just so much trouble.  In order to get them to look right, I had to fiddle with my straightening iron and use product and even then, once they looked good, they tickled my face.  So it was a lot of work for a less than ideal result.  I took a couple of pictures, but I don't have the little cord that connects my camera to my computer, so those will just have to wait.

I'm not entirely sure what our plans are for the rest of the day, but I know I want to get to the gym, probably right after WW, and then this evening, we're going to see McKenzie's grandfather play some music with some friends and family, and then we're heading down to Klamath Falls after that.  It's a four-hour drive, so hopefully I can just sleep in the van, but that's not very easy, since my seat doesn't recline at all.  I keep wanting to get a mattress for the back, but I'm not sure how safe/legal that'd be.

It's going to be a struggle to keep up with my work while we're here, because I'm starting to realize just how packed our days are.  And I want to work out and write on top of everything else we've got going on every day.  I'll find a way, but it probably means a huge overhaul to my normal schedule, and I'm not the type who adjusts well to that kind of change.  I write in the mornings.  I work out in the afternoons.  I eat three meals a day and I go to sleep early.  That kind of schedule just isn't going to be possible this month, and I'm not sure if I'll get in any sleep at all...but it's going to be fun!

Yesterday was too cloudy/hazy to see any mountains, so I still haven't reunited with my boyfriend, Mt. Hood.  I sure miss him.  Oh well...we'll have good views of McLoughlin and Shasta from Klamath.  They're sexy, too.  And I get to go to Crater Lake on Monday:)

Peace.
