I went for a swim this morning at the Klamath Falls municipal pool.  It's a geothermally heated outdoor pool, so even though it was about 35 degrees outdoors, the water was 80 degrees.  It felt nice to be in a pool again, and it made me miss going everyday with Elizabeth, who turned out to be a lying, stealing mooch.  But I didn't know that at the time, so it was fun for a while.  I wish I had access to a good lap swimming pool at home (wherever home may be), because swimming is such fun exercise.  I still suck at it, but I managed 12 laps (50 yards each) in about 30 minutes.  I'm like the opposite of Michael Phelps, but even though the stats are on the pathetic side, it felt like a good workout.  That's what counts, right?

We're going to play bridge (me with Harvey, Z with Randall) in a little while, then our afternoon is somewhat open.  I really need to get some WIN writing done, but I've never been good at doing that in the afternoons, so we'll see what comes of it.

It might be nice to go for a nice long walk through town today.  Harvey's house is just a few blocks from the heart of the city, so that could be fun.  I also might want to go to the OIT bookstore -- Oregon Institute of Technology is an NAIA school, and their mascot is the Owl, but they have lots of shirts that reference hooters.  I was thinking something like that might make a nice gift for my brothers...but I think I'll end up getting them some ducks gear -- lots of the U of O apparel just has a big O on it, which is also amusing to me.  Besides, William is always looking for a new football team that won't let him down.  It's tough being a UVA fan.

I still haven't fully adjusted to the time change here.  Even though I have been staying up even later than I normally do on the east coast, I'm still waking up really early, usually sometime in the 5am hour.  I hope this passes, because it just means I'm getting less sleep than I need.  Tomorrow evening we'll drive back to Salem after Z gets off work, and then Thursday through Sunday we'll be in Portland with Ben and Danny and I can't wait:)  I hope the days are as beautiful this weekend as they have been the last few days.  It's really sunny and clear (though not terribly warm) and I have plenty of lovely mountains visible for my gawking pleasure.  I love it here.

Peace.
