Sep. 27th, 2008 07:21 pmWe're taking a little breather this afternoon at Dave's between events. We didn't get a whole lot of sleep, because we wanted to do a lot today. We started out the morning at the Portland Saturday Market. It's an outdoor street fair featuring hippie type crafts and tons of food vendors. Think FRFF vendor city times about five. It was awesome. And I only spent $16 -- got myself a new bag, because the purse I brought with me has been bugging me.
From there, we drove out to Multnomah Falls and did the hike up to the top. It's only a mile to the top, but it's up, up, up. Definitely a challenge after yesterday's jaunt up Mount Hood. Still, it was lovely, and we had a good time there. We drove around Washington a little bit, looking for a good place for lunch, but the place Z had in mind wasn't open, so we decided we'd like to return to Portland and go back to the Indian place where we ate on Thursday. We got there about 15 minutes after they'd stopped serving lunch, and dinner doesn't start until 5, so we agreed to have a small lunch and return for Indian tonight:) Still, it was 3 before we were served at the cafe we decided on, and we were all pretty starved, so we ended up eating quite a bit. It was totally yummy, though, and mine was pretty healthy, so I don't feel guilty about it:)
We're trying to decide what to do tonight. We're invited to an Oktoberfest party, but we don't know anyone who will be there, so we're sort of waffling about that. Plus, VT vs. Nebraska starts at 5. It's not televised on any local stations, but we should be able to get it at a bar that has satellite or something, so we are considering going to a strip club to watch the game. Ben and Danny don't really give a shit about football, so the naked ladies would give them something to do while I watch the game. McKenzie's attention would be split, I imagine. Portland does have lots of strip joints. I've never been to one, but I'm not opposed to trying new things, so I'd be fine with it if we went. Really, I just want to see the game. On the other hand, I don't want to be a lame hostess, and I can live without the game if we find something better to do. So it's still pretty up in the air, I guess. I'll at least miss part of it anyway if we're going out to dinner. So maybe we'll do an hour or two at dinner and then catch the second half of the game at a bar -- nudie or otherwise. We'll see. Either way, go Hokies and all that.
Peace.
