Was anyone really hot in the 80s?

This is one of the first music videos I ever saw, on VH1, when I was five. Immediately, I had a crush on Tom Petty. When I told some of my friends (years later, crush still raging) that I thought he was hot, they all made fun of me, so I stopped giving my opinion on hotness until Hanson hit the scene and I just couldn't help myself anymore.

For the record, watching this video now, I still think that Tom Petty is hot. Perhaps even a heartbreaker, har har. Unfortunately, he's not so hot nowadays. A lot of my celebrity crushes are on celebrities past. It's weird to have active crushes on people who are either over the hill or dead. Heath Ledger is definitely one of those, but also every member of the Monkees. I loved it when VH1 played reruns of their old TV show every night back when I was in high school. They were babes. And Heath Ledger is one of the few celebs my age that I've ever crushed on even just a little (with the notable and HUGE exception of Hanson), and well, look what happened.

Anyway I have weird taste. I guess I always have. I <3 80's Tom Petty:)

and yeah, if those girls were lookin hot, I'm glad i wasn't dating in the 80s;)
