Oct. 20th, 2008 10:10 amThis amuses me so much.
This weekend was good, except for the football...but I'm not going to talk about that. Z and I played yesterday in the Unit 139 annual "Christmas" party, which is now an Oktoberfest because we have a sectional in December instead. Baby Jesus would love that, I'm sure. Anyway it was a big game and we did really well, but one of us will write about that on DoubleSqueeze for those who are interested.
My aunt and uncle (sister and brother, not married couple) were at the game yesterday, so I asked my aunt about using her cabin on the Tye River this weekend if it's just too effing cold to camp outside all night. She said we can use it, but there will be trail maintenance workers there, too, so we'll have to sleep on the floors. The floors are no problem, but my concern is that we won't be able to unleash our full drunkenness with a bunch of much aunt's friends in the next room. Heh. But anyway it's an option, so don't let the cold scare you out of coming camping with us. Saturday night on my farm in Nelson County, or possibly in my aunt's cabin. Either way, it's going to be awesome. And EXTREME. (How many times now have I said that I will never go camping in cold weather again? I'm such a liar!) I'm really looking forward to it. There will also be hiking, of course. And lots of farting, because I'm bringing baked beans to cook on the fire, as is the tradition.
Peace.
