Oct. 27th, 2008 02:19 pmI'm still pretty much on east coast time. That means very productive early mornings and really early crashes for me. I've been going to the gym before lunch for the past two days, which is a little different for me because I'm not used to working out on an empty stomach. I eat breakfast, but usually only something very small, which I burn off in the first 10 minutes at the gym. I've had back to back really excellent workouts, though, so I'm pretty pleased.
I did write about that little restaurant in Portland for the Perpetual Tourist. Please do read it. I think one of the hardest things about living in Portland will be choosing between that place and the Indian restaurant down the road from our place. I'm so looking forward to my move!
Speaking of dwellings, it sure smells like a rate cut is coming. When I got my mortgage for the condo I own, rates were pretty much at their highest point. I've paid down a lot on my principal and I'm thinking it might be worth looking into refinancing. If I can get a deal without high fees to redo the mortgage, I'm thinking I could knock quite a bit off my monthly payment. My total payment including taxes is really low already, because I don't have a very big mortgage, but I could possibly shave a lot of money off my payments, making it easier to pay down faster. I haven't done a lot of research on this, but I'm going to poke around. I'll also ask my dad what he thinks, because I definitely trust his judgment here. A quick glance around internetland tells me that I'd have to knock at least a full percentage point off my rate before this becomes worthwhile. We'll see if that's doable.
I wrote another Palin post for Gadling today, and of course that brought another crazy into my life (see the first comment). Good times. ONE MORE WEEK, Y'ALL! Man, I can't wait...
Peace.
