jianantonicI squeezed out a new Perpetual Tourist blog this morning about election night parties. One problem with my Eee is that I haven't figured out how to edit pictures on here, and even if I have a picture ready to insert into a post, my computer isn't cooperating with the blog site and it freezes up when I try to upload something. So that's why my last two PT posts haven't had pictures.
Other than that, the Eee has been a real champ. I've pretty much gotten used to the keyboard, except for the right-hand shift key. It's half its normal size, with the other half going to the up arrow key, which is the key my finger always goes to when I'm trying to use the shift key there. That's annoying, but if it's the worst problem I ever have with this computer, it'll be the best one I've ever had.
I've been up for three hours now, and McKenzie kicked me out of bed because I was keeping him awake with the light from my screen, so I've just been sitting in my in-laws' dark living room alternating between typing and playing with their kitten. He can be a pretty sweet kitty sometimes, which is just enough to make me forget that the rest of the time, he is a demon. He's Siamese, so he meows all the time. It was cute at first, but now that he's figured out how to make himself louder, it is decidedly not cute.
Ah well. Today's agenda is Weight Watchers at 9:45, gym after that, lunch somewhere, and then...? We may be needed back at Z's grandmother's house, but if not, I'd kinda like to do some shopping. I spent about an hour at Goodwill the other day, but my heart wasn't in it and I only ended up buying a few pairs of socks (new, not secondhand). I need a short gray skirt that I can wear with all my awesome new socks (I bought a lot of knee-highs), and maybe some new sweaters. In the winter clothes category, I mostly only have giant sweatshirts, and while I'm definitely a fan of giant sweatshirts, I'd like some more fashionable items as well. We'll see if McKenzie is up for a jaunt to the mall or something...heh...fat chance. But maybe.
