Bridge went well-ish today.  I'm pleased to say that I played fairly steadily, with a couple of bogus mistakes, but none too costly, so for the first time playing with Robert, I'm not totally ashamed of myself.  Three cheers for that.  We won our semifinal match, but unfortunately lost (badly) in the final.  Oh well.  It was a 21 point payout for 2nd, so suddenly this tournament has been decently profitable for me.  It's been a slow start to the year, but a good week in Portland next week will put me back in all the major races, I think.  Plus, it's early, and I have a LOT of bridge on my calendar for the year.  Ooh look who cares about masterpoints again.  Sigh.

Hopefully Robert and I will head out soon for a very romantic Valentine's Day dinner, but seein' as how we don't have reservations anywhere, I bet finding dinner tonight is going to be a bitch.  Meh.

I'm sad that I'm leaving tomorrow, but happy that I'm headed to Portland and will be with my husband again finally.  I miss him.  (Though Robert snores enough to be a convincing replacement.)

Not much more to say -- all I've done here is play bridge, really.  I'm having a lot of fun, though.
