I finished my AOL feature on the best and worst fashion trends of all time today.  Thanks for your help brainstorming that -- I didn't get to choose all of the topics myself, but most of them were my ideas.  I was sad to have to hate on flannel shirts.  I know they're not fashionable, but I've always loved them.  Oh well.  It was a really fun article to write.  I got to really crank up the snark.  Turns out, I'm pretty good at that.  I'll post a link when the article is finalized.  The AOL Welcome Screen team is adding photos to it now and I'm not sure when they'll set it to go live.

It's only 35 degrees here today, but it's as lovely as any day in Florida.  I'm just so happy to be in Portland.  I'm going to gush about this for a while, and y'all are going to tire of it, I'm sure, if you haven't already.  I'm just so in love with Portland.  I'm in love with a lot right now.  I thought I'd be super stressed when I left Florida and had to catch up with work quickly while also juggling another week of bridge and jet lag and all that, but really I'm not that far behind and I was able to hit the ground running when I woke up this morning.  [livejournal.com profile] berto23 gave me lots of good tips last week that I can bring to the table with McKenzie this week.  Now that I'm back in my comfort zone with Z across the table from me, equipped with handy new ideas from Robert, I'm ready to conquer the world.  Rawr!

I spent a lot of time last week talking with Robert about his hopeful future partnership with McKenzie.  The two of them will be great together, and I'm so excited that both of them are so excited about the possibilities.  I have a lot to learn from both of them, and I'm sure my game will benefit, too, from being around them as they advance together.  I think Robert makes an excellent third wheel in my marriage.  I only hope he doesn't replace me so that I become the third wheel...I can almost see that happening, though I think I'm just cute enough to hang onto my position as the favorite in this triangle.

Last week was exactly what I needed to recharge, and I couldn't have a better outlook for life in Portland now.  Thanks again, Robert, for putting up with my shit all week, both at the table and away from it.  You rock.  All those times you made me cry?  Water under the bridge.
Peace.
