jianantonicIt's been a very interesting couple of days. VERY interesting.
I'll start with Tuesday. It was me and Mike on the sales floor at work, Jay and Matt in the back, and no one else. We had a customer come in, I helped her, went back and asked about a repair job for her and find out it'll cost $150. It needed a lot of work. She didn't want to pay it, but Mike took over (I HATE when he does that), went in the back, had words with Jay, came out, charged her $50, and she left. The next thing I knew, Jay was leaving pissed off and Mike was on the phone with Randy telling him that Jay was fired. Randy sided with Jay, so Mike said he quit. He worked the rest of the day, and hasn't been back since. I honestly prefer it when he's not here, but it does piss me off the way he left...I mean he should be involved with the store...he's just a terrible salesperson. Anyway, this has happened before, and I imagine things will be back to normal soon...but everyone else is saying maybe not this time so who knows? We'll see.
Yesterday was my day off, so I was running around town. First I went to the SPCA to look at kittens. Jer couldn't come because he had to be at work all day, so I went by myself and filled out the application to adopt. I was approved, but they only had one kitten and I want to get two, plus our house is still a mess from moving and it's not realistic for us to get cats just yet. So I just played for a long time. I had such a good time:) It was sad to leave without any animals, but what can I do? On the way back into town, my phone rang, so I pulled off into the nearest parking lot to talk. When I got off the phone, I realized I was in the parking lot of Sylvia's Pets. I went inside, just to look, but I couldn't resist...I bought a guinea pig for a surprise for Jeremy. I got the whole setup...cage, treats, food, toys, etc. The guinea pig is a very tiny baby. He's only about 4-5 inches long, so I guess he's still pretty young. He'll grow to be about three times bigger. I named him Buster. I was so excited for Jer to see him last night, and I was playing with him all day...turns out, I'm allergic to Buster. I woke up this morning with my right eye swolen shut. But that's okay. I'm keeping him and I'll learn to deal with it. Brent says that there are some medicines that should help, and it's my fault anyway for scratching my eyes after holding him. If that happens again, I'll just use gloves when I want to hold him. Hopefully I'll be okay though because I played with a ton of animals and didn't have any reaction yesterday.
Anyhow, time for work. My eye is kind of back to normal but I still look like I've been hit in the face. Peace.
