Good news and bad news, but mostly good

jianantonicMy car died. That's neither good nor bad, really. It's kind of bad, I guess, but the good cancels that out. I get a new car now, because my parents have finally realized that there is no point in throwing money into that piece of shit. But it was a nice piece of shit that I loved. My sentimental attachment to it is not so great that I won't overcome it, though. The biggest problem is that now I have to throw car payments into the mix of how broke I am. Worst case scenario, I dip into savings a bit. I do have almost $40,000 in there. Yay for backup plans. Right now I'm driving the truck, which doesn't have a working CD player or tape deck. That sucks hardcore. I think I'm going to buy some batteries and put a boombox on the seat next to me just so I can listen to music that I like. Of course I have to be different and hate everything they ever play on the radio.
I haven't talked much about Janet. Janet is my new 65-year-old coworker. I LOVE HER. At first I really dreaded working with her because Christina knew her and said she was a bitch, but then I remembered that Christina's a bitch, so why should I worry about what she thinks? Janet is great. I talk to her about everything. She's like my gal-pal or something. And she always cooks for me because she knows I never have time for breakfast on Saturdays and I love her cake. Last weekend she brought me pancakes and mashed potatoes, then on Monday she brought a cake. She's also really cool and really funny. She doesn't like Christina very much and has no qualms about complaining to me about that. She tells Mike and Randy that she wants me to be manager and that she thinks I'm great with customers. Aww, Janet. :) Her grandson Daniel works with us, too. He's 16 and he's our buff boy, also known as "Jay's bitch." Daniel's very sweet. He's quite agreeable and very helpful. The best part is that they're both democrats. So when all of us are there, the leftists outnumber the right-leaners. Yay:) I used to be the only one of my kind...
So work is good...come visit me, let me give you a new watch battery or sell you a diamond or something. Peace.
