Today both sucked and rocked, rather simultaneously. I finally got a lot of the things I've been meaning to do done, and now that they are I'm relieved and happy but also annoyed at myself for not taking care of it all sooner.

I haven't been sleeping very well since we switched beds. I've been meaning to get a new comforter and a memory foam mattress pad for weeks now, and I finally went out and took care of that today. I also picked up a fan for the bedroom, because I think the heat has a lot to do with my difficulty sleeping. Costco had some awesome pillows on sale, so I grabbed a couple of those, too. All in all a very productive day, but also an expensive one, and while I'm happy with the end result, this isn't really how I wanted to spend my Saturday.

Not to worry, though, because it's almost Chatka Time! I didn't make it to the liquor store for any Cock, so I bought some BJ's at the grocery store instead. (Bartles and James, hehe.) Tonight, Shantytowners far and wide will be simul-chatkaing at 9EDT in honor of Andrea's birthday. We did it last week for Cliff. I quite enjoy this new tradition. I think when Kerry's birthday rolls around, though, we should observe the Chatka at 9am, because that's just how Kerry rolls. :)

I think I'm going to Mount St Helens tomorrow to meet Kelly and Laura, though I haven't heard for sure about that, so I'm not positive. I had some really great views of all the mountains today while I was running my errands. It's clear enough to see Adams, even. I love days like this.

I'm going to kick back for the rest of the evening. I'm very excited about the cottage cheese I bought to have with dinner tonight. Simple pleasures keep me happy.
