Aug. 25th, 2009 09:34 amI have officially finalized all of my travel plans for 2009. You know, unless something comes up. Here's my itinerary, if you're interested:
Hosting my family in Portland this week, yay!
My next trip will be to Hawaii, 9/13-9/17
9/24-9/28 - Vegas
9/28 - 10/5 - Naples
10/5 - 10/11 - Seaside
10/11 - 10/13 - Hosting Theri in Portland
10/16 - 10/21 - Hosting Emily in Portland
11/5 - 11/9 - Salt Lake City
11/14 - 12/3 - Charlottesville
12/25 - 1/1 - Reno (driving -- I swore I'd never do this again. Dammit.)
1/1 - 1/4 - On the road, probably visiting San Francisco
1/4 - 1/10 - Moneterey
The definite trips for 2010 are Reno NABC, Gatlinburg, FRFF, Medford Regional, New Orleans NABC, and Charlottesville for Thanksgiving. Some maybes for next year are the Bermuda Regional and pretty much every other regional on the calendar, actually. Heh :)
So I'm relieved to have my travel all planned out, and partners lined up for all these tournaments, except Monterey. Still holding out for Greg to come to that one, but if he won't, I'll probably be able to find a partner relatively easily. Maybe Max is still on break then. ALL of my plane tickets are bought and paid for, and most of my hotel reservations are made. Just need to figure out where we're staying in Seaside and book the room for Reno, but other than that, everything is paid for and I shouldn't have too much in the way of expenses for the rest of the year, so that's awesome. Maybe I'll actually get some money in my savings account after all this year.
I decided not to go home for Xmas. Flights to Reno were too effing expensive, and my brother's family wasn't getting to Cville until late on the 24th. It's sort of a bummer, but Chris and Cindy will be very happy to have us here for a change.
I'm also glad that even with all this crazy globetrotting, I'm still home in Portland a lot. It's a wonderful place.
Peace.
