Jan. 17th, 2011 09:04 pmMy weekend was good, but all kinds of tiring. Playing a new system was very taxing on my brain, and I crashed early each night, then treated myself to about a four-hour nap when I got back to Charlottesville.
Andre and I won the two largest events in the sectional, as well as the overall points race. I'd say that's a pretty successful weekend. I got to know some new people and had a great time. I'm really looking forward to playing with Andre again.
I just have a couple weeks left in Cville on this go-round, then I'm off on another whirlwind trip. I've pretty much decided to keep Cville as my home base for a while, though, so even though I'm going back home to Portland, I'll come back here in early March and stick around for a while longer, probably. I just like my therapist here so much, and I have to be here in March anyway for my cousin's wedding, so might as well stay on the east coast and just keep escaping on weekends to sectionals or other travel. Then hopefully I'll be ready to relocate myself more permanently back in Portland after a couple more months.
All this is completely up in the air, of course, but it's sort of how I expect my Spring to pan out.
Things are relatively good right now. I'm looking forward to my future, hazy though it may be.
