jianantonicI'm having a really good time in SLC with Max. Veronica is everything a non-bridge-playing bridge girlfriend should be. I don't really understand how bridge players can date outside our species, but Max and Veronica make it work in a way that I've never seen any other couple do it. Being here with them is fun because I like them both very much, but it also makes me miss McKenzie a lot. Everything does, really. But especially being here...which is odd because I've never really been here with him. I didn't say everything made sense.
We've been moderately successful at the bridge table most of the weekend. Some ridiculous things have happened, and some opponents have tested my patience and sanity, but as far as I can tell, I'm holding my shit together. And I still really love playing bridge. So I guess it's good that I have a whole day of it ahead of me yet. Off we go.
