jianantonicThis week hasn't gone exactly as I planned, but I knew that was a possibility when I lined up this trip. I've spent most of my time helping my cousins prepare their house to show to prospective buyers (tonight!), and you would not recognize the place from what it looked like when I arrived on Sunday. I'm honestly quite proud of myself for how useful I've been. It feels awesome to help someone in a big way, and I know I've done that, so I'm all full of warm fuzzies. Even though I've totally put my job on hold to do this all week. Oh well, I go home tomorrow.
There are some areas where I still feel like a slacker -- not doing any structured workouts and work's on the backburner -- but I have done a lot this week. And I don't make enough at my job for it to be the giant source of stress I've let it be in the past. So I'm just letting myself see how things go. I feel great, honestly. And I'll be in Portland tomorrow.
Lunch with Jeffra yesterday was fantastic. She's such a sweet person -- she played at UVA from 1993-1996, and she hasn't seen me since I was 12. But she invited me out to have lunch and chitchat and who else in the world would do that? I adore her. And it was totally a dream come true for the 12-year-old girl in me.
