Sep. 24th, 2004 10:47 amSome good news.
I talked to my supervisor last night at the front desk. He said that Jan (manager) absolutely adores me and would give me as many hours as I want and will probably make me a supervisor as soon as I'm trained. That said, I'm quitting ADF this week. At least I'll give my notice. I *may* stay on for one day a week just to keep my discount and my contacts within the industry, but that will be on the condition that I don't have to work with Janet, or that it's a Monday and I get to come up on the mountain. We'll see. But basically I'm going to tell the front desk that I'll take as many hours as they'll give me and life will be good. I'll have days off, too.
Today, Janet is taking the day off and I get to spend the whole day working with Jaime. I like her a lot, and she really understands my situation. Basically everyone at the store but the owners and Janet now knows I'm leaving. They're all scared shitless that they'll never see another bonus again (which very well may be the case). I just hope it's brutally apparent how much I'm worth to that store. Not that I wish them hardship, I just want them to notice what I was worth to them.
Anyhow, it's time for class now. I'm in a mostly good mood today. No Janet, knowledge that I can leave and I have a sturdy fallback. Life is good.
Peace.
