jianantonicJer's car is being a bitch and not running, so he and I are doing the terribly inconvenient carpool thing. It's okay, though, because since I quit my job, it's not like I have anywhere I have to go! :) It does kind of suck that he doesn't have wheels this week, but it's no big deal. We'll pull the money to fix it out of our asses and move on with life. That's my new philosophy. I'm not going to stress about money. Well, I'll try really hard not to. It seems lately we've been able to pull a lot of things out of our asses, so I should be fine.
I'm in such a better mood since quitting. It's unreal. It pleases me to no end to think of the reactions everyone must have had when they found out. I'd told a lot of people that I was thinking about leaving, but I don't think anyone thought I had the guts to do it. And they probably all thought I'd at least give notice. Nope. See, I'd asked for this Saturday off so I could work the bridge tournament in Charlottesville. Janet said she couldn't give me the day off because she was taking that weekend off - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - to go on a trip to Farmville with her friends. She's gone three times in the last five weeks! The bitch can take a reprieve and give someone else a weekend. Grr. You know what she'll do? She'll probably either make all of her friends reschedule the trip, or she'll make the owners come in and work in the store all weekend instead of doing it herself like she should. Either way, I guarantee you she inconveniences someone else more than I've inconvenienced her. Anyway, not my problem!
It's time to go to school now so I can make up my Philosophy of Science test. I didn't have to take it yesterday. Watson totally understood my reasons - for quitting and for being too shaken up to take a good test. He was pissed, too. If anything could get his goat, it would be calling philosophy "stupid." Anyway, it's not, it's very, very, very intellectual, which is why I'm slightly concerned about this test... ;)
