Just finished session #2 with my new trainer.  I felt less shitty after this one, but it was just as intense as the last time.  (The two main differences are that this time I did not try to work out on an empty stomach and I was mentally prepared for what was in store.)  My abs are still sore from our last workout together, and pretty much everything I did today had an ab component.  I'm going to need help getting out of bed tomorrow.  

I feel really good about the progress I'm making.  I'm pushing myself harder and I'm getting fitter faster and all that...and I'm just about to dive into the travel lifestyle again.  So we'll see how sustainable this is.  My fitness goals are very important to me, so I am sure I can make it all work out, but I know it's not going to be easy.  

I signed up for my February race -- it's a 3-miler on the 5th, which is right after I get back from South Africa.  I'm hoping that having that on the horizon will be enough motivation to keep active while I'm on vacation.  This trip is going to be amazing, though, and I'm not going to let body stress be in the foreground.

Bring a bathing suit. We can do laps in the hostel pool!
